Louie (Rambo) - Re-homed

Hi everybody, I recently re-homed Rambo from you and I thought I would quickly let you know how he is doing, I have tried to email you but for some reason my computer doesn’t like your email address! Rambo is now called Louie and is doing really well, he has settled in very quickly. He loves playing with his toys in the garden and races round like a maniac throwing them in the air and catching them! He has been great with the kids; we have had no problems at all, unless you count him knocking them over when he comes through the back door or turning around quickly! He
loves going for his walk down to the school mainly because he gets loads of fusses from all the children.

He’s getting much better around other dogs, he’s even made friends with the rotti next door, a Labrador and a
field cocker spaniel that we see out on most of our evening walks. Last night he even stood calmly next to a Westie! Two weeks ago he would have barked at it like a mad thing.

The first two nights I slept downstairs with him because he wasn’t letting me out of his sight, even going to the loo was too long for him and he would sit at the bottom of the stairs crying, by the third night I felt he was settled enough and slept upstairs, he cried for about ten minutes and then went to sleep, he’s been fine since then and now doesn’t make a sound at bed time, I can go upstairs now without him crying, he just greets me when I come down. We have had a few problems with him peeing and pooing in the house in the night, despite being let out last thing, so I have started to walk him just before bed time and touch wood he’s been fine since then.

He really has fitted in really well and is already a much loved family pet, he is such a big softy everybody falls in love with him when they meet him. He is such a great character and soooooo loving, you can rest assured he has found his 'forever' home, he is here to stay and spend the rest of his retirement doing all the things a dog should do!

Thank you so much
Vicky and Louie

Updated - 18th May 2007

Hi everyone, Vicky and Louie here again. Just to let you know that Louie’s tummy
is much better now, it was that horrid food that I bought for him, I’m
never going to change it again! Far too messy! Louie is still doing really
well, although we are not pleased with all this wet weather that we are
having, going for nice long (ish) walks has been very hard. We walked 5
miles last weekend and just as Louie was starting to flake we walked in to
bunny town and that was it, ears up, straining at the lead, whimpering and
barking. He suddenly wasn’t quite so tired! But I think he enjoyed it, he
didn’t know where to look or which one to chase, luckily for the bunnies!
He pulled so hard on the lead he pulled me on to the grass where it was so
muddy, I just skidded along, I've since bought some wellies with a very
good tread on them!
I will email again soon with some other funny Louie stories, well I think
they are funny anyway!
Vicky and Louie
